Fishing continues to be good the past week and continues with the unstable weather over the Victoria Long Weekend. We woke up to snow in the hills and a strong Northwesterly wind with the odd shower. Lows will be dropping down to 1 Deg. the next few nights and highs in upper single digits or low double digits, some say it’s a typical May long weekend pattern with rain all day tomorrow. Not nice weather but good for the lake and fish as it’s cool water and being oxygenated by the wind.  Fish have been caught on Hot Shots and Kwik Fish, gang trolls with pink wedding bands or with a worm dabbed on the wedding band. Chironomid hatches continue with sizes up to 12, patterns working have been red ribbed chromies, zucchini’s, pornamids, Elvis, coppertops, dark greens with silver rib, Whiskey Dicks. Vampire leeches and pumpkin heads trolled or under the indicator produced fish. Mayfly nymphs casted and stripped also picked up fish. Last years stockers are being caught mainly, 12-16 inch fish with some larger fish to 24 inches caught.
