Chironimid fishing was good last thurs/fri then things slowed down over the weekend with the snow and wind(everyone still caught fish but it was tougher).Yesterday weather improved with sunshine and milder temperatures. Chironomid fishing picked up, fish were moving in schools searching for hatches in 4 to7 feet of water. Just some small Chironomids coming off (18’s) but picking up fish on #14 asb/red rib, red ribbed chromie’s, Whiskey dicks. Throat samples showed just a few small blood worms. #12 Coppertop/cranberry blood worm surprisingly did very well presented just off the bottom. Fish were taking presentations lightly until larger schools moved through and takes were much harder. Balanced leeches fished off sunken islands also produced fish.

Weather out look looks good after the next couple days of a warmer/wetter pattern and temps rise to mid teens. yesterday water temps came up to 47/48, hopefully by the weekend reach warmer temps to get the hatches really going.
