Ice thickness is 12-14 inches thick with close to a foot of snow on the ice. Fishing was fairly good over the Christmas Holidays, around New Years and New Years day fishing was slower probably due to the low pressure and stormy conditions and not many were out to fish but to celebrate New Years at Tunkwa. Shrimp has been working the best with a “flasher” 12 to 14 inches above your bait. Cold weather continues to keep any melting away and looks that way for a while to come..
