2025 Fishing Reports

April 24,25

Weather has improved with calmer winds and sunny skies. Small size chironomid hatches were seen yesterday after a week of them not coming off. Fish have moved back to shallow water a few days a go after being in 7-9 feet of water, now with the sunshine there may move to deeper water feeding on chironomids. Leech patterns stripped in shallow water caught fish. Water boatman and Gammarus scuds have been seen along the shorelines.

Water temps have been hovering around 45-46 the past week, yesterdays sunshine brought it up to 49 by the end of the day. Fishing worms off our docks produced fish, some are doing well while others getting the odd fish or none.

The gradual rise in water temps should produce some good hatches as the water warms up.
