Reports coming in from guests, out ice fishing Tunkwa, are about the same. Some days the trout are on, and others there just off!
Daytimes have been nice and sunny, often warming up to plus 4 or 5, and night temps really dropping down, we’ve seen a couple nights dip to -12.
Fish are being caught as shallow as 2′, and some reports of good success fishing over the deeper parts of the lake, 17′. Various presentations tipped with a worm seems to be the most consistent producer. There is still a good 15″ of solid ice on the lake, and light skiff of snow on it, making a bit less slippery. Still great ice conditions to get another ice fishing trip, or two in!.
