This week's fishing report! ^_^

Another week of unstable weather up in the Tunkwa area. There has been a fair bit of wind, some rain, even a couple mornings dipping to -1C!? Fishing remained tougher for the most part.

Chironomid hatches have been very light, and sporadic, the trout just aren't on them yet. The Chaborous continue to hatch heavily, and the trout have been dialled in on them, always a tough bite to match. Throat samples, and fish on the cleaning table, are showing that they are ... See more

June 15th to 17th will be this year's BC's Family Fishing Weekend! On those three days, you can fish licence-free! If you haven't tried fishing and are visiting us during that weekend, it is a great opportunity for you to try out fishing if you are staying at the resort. :)

The Tunkwa area had very strong winds for 4 days later in the week and into the weekend, which really changed things. Fishing was tougher for the rest of the week and the weekend. We saw some giant chaberus hatches (tiny limey's) as well, which typically makes it a tough go, when the trout get dialled in on these. Fish ... See more

This week's fishing report! ^_^

Light winds from various directions to calm conditions the last few days has the hatches spread out though the lake being a bit unorganized, small chironomids and size 14 light green have been coming off and some bomber size dark greens have been coming off.

Mayflies have started to hatch and dragon fly casings were seen over the shallow weed beds. #14 light green flies have been working and #10 Coppertops and Cranberry blood worms fished just off the bottom ... See more
