Oct.1/18

Fishing remained consistent and good since the last report. The weather has turned cool and wet, with some wet snow in the mix on Sunday.
The trout are still shallow, and really feeding up with the cool nights, they know winter is coming! A variety of presentation are working. Spin fishermen are doing well tossing Blue Fox Spinners, or fishing worms under a float. Fly anglers are using a variety of presentations, all seem to be having there moments. Boatmen, scud and damsel patterns have all been good bets. Brighter attractor patterns are working as well, Blobs, Boobies, various Sparkle and Micro leeches are all working as well. Don’t be afraid to fish shallow, and in the weeds!
A few guests out there trolling, primarily using HotShots, and they have been doing well, one of them commented, they are having a hard time catching fish under the 50cm max size limit!

We hosted the north American Lauch Style Championships here last week, with anglers in from all over Canada, and all parts of the US. Weather was great for them, and the fish co-operated. Lots of fish caught on all the lakes they competed on, and it was all for a good cause, proceeds going to charity. Great job Todd and the crew!.
