Trollers using spinners and hot shots(silver/blue and pink) caught fish yesterday along with fishers using a float and worm. Some large Chironomids and 12’s were coming off yesterday and fishing was still in a small area in one spot and larger areas in another spot. Blood worms were seen on the lake surface and throat samples varied from scuds to bloodworms and the odd large chironomid. Cranberry blood worms, pornamids and asb with copper or wine ribbed worked yesterday moving the fly or static presentation. Some of the #12 chironomids were tan in color so the “Double Dip” is a fly to match the natural. Fish caught were up to 3.75 lbs.
Summer weather is at it’s peek this week with no trend of unstable weather on the horizon..
