Tunkwa Rustic Cabins

We offer clean housekeeping cabins, they are rustic but modernized cedar-sided cottages with recent interior renovations. Cabins have electricity but no running water.  Cabins will sleep from 2 to 9 people and all come complete with cooking and eating utensil ie. pots , pans, dishes, cutlery, tea towels, 12 cup electric coffee maker and a water jug. Cooking is on a full size propane stove/oven  We have excellent drinking water in our shower houses to obtain water for your water jug. Smaller open room and one bedroom cabins have a small fridge, larger two bedroom cabins have a full size fridge. Also each cabin has an airtight wood stove to provide heat, on the porches of our rustic cabins there will be 2 bundles of firewood per night in the colder season, and 1 bundle per night during the warmer season. Extra wood or campfire wood is available for a nominal charge. Dishes can be washed in our dishwashing house. All of our 2 and 3 bedroom cabins have BBQ’s except cabin 14, propane is needed, a 20lb tank can hook right up to it or the small green propane cylinders with an adapter borrowed from the store will work.

Each cabin has its own picnic table with fire-pits on the lake shore. There are no washrooms in the cabins, but we have two shower houses, one for the girls, the other for the guys, and a dishwashing house.. They are centrally located, see map here, have flush toilets and showers with “on demand” hot water that never runs out (no charge for showers). Also remember to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels. Our rustic cabins are dog friendly. Stags(bachelor parties) are not permitted on our property. The rustic cabins have a 2 night minimum, on the summer long weekends (Victoria Day, Canada Day, B.C. Day and Labour Day) we have a 3 night minimum and the cabin must come with our long weekend boat package of a 14 ft. boat/motor or 16 foot jon boat/motor.
